Supported Living

Home Supported Living

Is supported living right for you?

Supported living offers an alternative to residential care and empowers you to choose the right amount of support – how and when you need it – so you can lead an enriching and fulfilling life.

Our supported living schemes are designed for people with learning disabilities, mental health, autism, or complex care needs. If you’re looking for supported living whilst living an independent life, you’ve come to the right place. We are passionate about delivering the best possible care and support.

What is supported living?

Supported living allows you to live independently and have control over how and when you receive support. We can support you to achieve your goals, such as becoming an active member of your local community.

Our flexible support is tailored to your needs, whether you’re looking for a few hours a week or more. Together, we co-create personalised support plans focusing on your interests, priorities and skills.

Whatever your needs are, we’re here to help. The type of support you receive is controlled by you. From help with personal care needs and managing finances, to finding education, work or leisure activities – you decide!

What types of supported living are there?

There are a variety of different types of supported living we can offer and we’ll strive to find the best option for you.

CILS goal is supporting Service Users to develop and maintain their independence, leading full and active lives engaging with social support networks and their local/wider community to improve their emotional, mental and physical wellbeing.

Our vigilant staff ensure any slippage or lack of progress towards outcomes is identified and rectified at the earliest opportunity. Promoting and Enabling Independence We promote ability-driven, outcomes-focused support and empower Service Users to act independently by placing them at the centre of every decision (while recognising mental capacity). Service Users’ abilities/strengths are incorporated into the achievement of their outcomes, and serves as a ‘starting-point’ against which we can measure future progress using our Outcomes Star.

We support Service Users to gain the skills and confidence to perform personal care, home management tasks and to access services/groups/activities of interest

Community Opportunities

The Community access and opportunities you will experience with Ciliving are unlike other. More than just a place to go during the day to get you out of the house, our day opportunities give you the chance to learn new skills, engage in your local community, gain a new-found independence and enjoy a wealth of interactive activities.

We work with you to develop a tailored support plan that reflects you – your interests, goals and preferences. And most importantly, you choose what you want to do and when you want to do it.

And because we are outcome based, you can expect our teams to support you with the following:

  • Community inclusion – including accessing leisure activities and day trips individually or as a group. We will support you to develop social skills and natural support networks.
  • Independent living – developing skills and confidence in the community such as travel, training and the skills to manage money.
  • Health and well-being – exploring opportunities that promote exercise and a healthy lifestyle.
  • Learning and employment – identifying opportunities to develop skills and prepare for work. This may include CV writing and interview skills.

Our passionate and caring teams will help you to get the most out of your day and your budget, so that you can lead a happy and fulfilling life without limitations.

Respite care

Whether you are looking for an overnight stay, a placement for a few weeks or even longer, our respite care can deliver the level of support you need.

We can provide planned or emergency respite at many of our residential care homes for people with a variety of needs, including physical disabilities and nursing care. Our experienced staff will work closely with you to deliver personalised care and support during your stay.

During your stay with us you can choose to take part in a range of activities tailored to your interests, or to continue with your usual daily routine. We encourage all of the people we support to participate in house meetings so that everyone has a voice in what meals or outings they may like to participate in whilst staying with us.

Preparing for your stay with us

We understand that staying away from home can be a big step. Before your stay, you will be invited to come and visit the home. This is an opportunity for you or your loved ones to have a look around and get to know the staff.

We recognise the importance of relationships with family and friends, so we make it clear that visitors are always welcome at any reasonable time during your stay with us.

We work collaboratively with you and your loved ones to produce your support plans. This ensures your needs and wishes are met, and activities are based on your interests.
